A coerced abortion is illegal under NY State Law. YOU are the ONLY ONE who can choose an option for your unplanned pregnancy. No one can force you to have an abortion, even if you are a minor. Staff at PRC of the Valleys are trained to provide a safe space and an evidence-based medical education during the options consultation.
PRCV is here to help you navigate through all your options. At the Center, you will receive an evidence-based medical education on:
EMERGENCY CONTRACEPTION: (PLAN B ONE-STEP)
Sometimes called “the morning after pill,” Plan B One-Step is a form of emergency contraception. This means birth control used after unprotected sex or a broken condom. This pill must be taken 72 hours or less after having sex to prevent or end an early pregnancy.

ABORTION PILL (MEDICAL ABORTION)
This method of abortion is used for women up to 10 weeks of their last menstrual period.
If you’re not a candidate for a medical (non-surgical) abortion or if the medical abortion fails, a surgical abortion would be necessary. Some of the most common surgical abortion procedures include manual vacuum aspiration, dilation and curettage, and dilation and evacuation.

Parenting Plans come in all shapes and sizes. With ongoing support from Bethany Christian Services and New Hope Family Services, you can help create a parenting plan for your child. This parenting plan allows you to choose those who would have the parenting guidelines you would like for your child. PRCV will provide you with a referral to one of these NYS licensed agencies at your request.
